Science Series Presented by the Glendora Library
Science: On Earth and Beyond is a new series being presented at the Glendora Public Library. There will be a variety of topics and each one will be informative, intriguing and entertaining for everyone.
On Saturday, February 1, 2:00 pm “Great Scott the Glad Scientist” will present ‘Fun and Painless Science Fair Projects’. For the students, Great Scott will share fun and creative science demonstrations and show how to choose and begin making an award winning science project. For parents, a step by step guide will be provided to prevent project frustration and tears as well as a few secrets to impress the Science Fair Judges.
On Saturday, April 12, 2:00 pm the “Rocket Owls” from Citrus College will share their expertise. The “Rocket Owls” are six students in the STEM Program (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) who participated in NASA’s Student Launch Projects Program. They designed, built, and successfully launched a rocket that carried at least one scientific or engineering payload for one mile into the atmosphere. The Rocket Owls compete against students some of the top aerospace students in United States. Come and hear and see more.
