SHINING STAR
The Community Services Department would like to recognize Andrea Miller Landscape/Contracts Supervisor as the September/October 2012 Shining Star.
Andrea has been with the City since November 2009, Andrea has played a major part in completing projects in and around the city. She redesigned the landscaping in front of Manooshian Park and is currently designing a new look for the Park area in the City's Water Yard.
Andrea's main duties include writing RFP's and supervising special projects such as the Grand Ave Median grant and drought tolerant design, the playground replacements at Finkbiner, Willow and Ole Hammer Park. As a Contract Supervisor she also supervises the landscape contractors and she manages the city's 18 landscape assessment and over 40 public landscape areas sites throughout the city. Andrea is currently working on the South Hill's Park renovation project that the commission will have the opportunity to review in November.
The Community Services Department is proud to announce Andrea as the September/October 2012 Shining Star.

CROWTHER TEEN & FAMILY CENTER SHUTTLE SERVICE
The City of Glendora and Crowther Teen & Family Center are proud to offer shuttle services to students who attend Sandburg Middle School, Goddard Middle School or Royal Oak Middle School. This ONE-WAY shuttle service from the schools to the Teen Center costs 50 cents a ride per student. Parents who work late can then pick up their children directly from the Teen Center!
To ride the shuttle, students must have a permission slip on file. For more information, contact the Teen Center at (626) 914-2357.
