A new apartment development with two, three or four bedroom units, all with two bathrooms, located at the corner of Route 66 and Elwood Avenue. Monthly rents are reduced to an amount affordable to low-income households.
The City of Glendora receives funds from the Federal Government's Community Block Grant Program (CDBG). These funds are used to support the construction of public improvements and public service programs. Corey's Kitchen Inc. - Glendora Family Food Support Program
Corey's Kitchen Food Bank Program provides food and clothing for those in need. They also provide employment resources, counseling, legal services and educational opportunities. Corey's Kitchen is located at 1418 Arrow Hwy, Irwindale. This is a city wide program. Contact person is Wayne Leamons (626) 305-0392.

Shepherd's Pantry
Shepherd's Pantry Program provides food and clothing for those in need. They also provide employment resources, counseling, legal services and educational opportunities. Shepherd's Pantry is located at 657 E. Arrow Highway, Suite J, Glendora. This is a city wide program. Contact person is Phil Huisman (626) 852-7630.

Citrus College Orfalea Family Children's Center
Funding for this program will provide approximately two to four low and moderate income Glendora households with access to licensed family day care and pre-school services for their children. Glendora families presently make up 20% of the students attending the day care program. Citrus College is located at 1000 W. Foothill Blvd. in Glendora. East San Gabriel Valley Coalition for the Homeless
The East San Gabriel Valley Coalition for the Homeless provides emergency shelter, food vouchers, bus tokens, counseling and other referrals. They provide year round emergency assistance to homeless and those “at risk” of becoming homeless by providing clothing, diapers, hygiene kits, blankets, etc. as well as information and referrals, transportation assistance and social service advocacy. The East San Gabriel Valley Coalition is also responsible for organizing the winter shelter program in the San Gabriel Valley from November - March. Several churches in Glendora participate in the winter shelter. The Coalition is located at 1345 Turnbull Canyon Road in Hacienda Heights. This is a citywide program. EYE-DAS Foundation (Eye Diseases Are Serious) by EYE-DAS Foundation
EYE-DAS provides an educational and social environment for adults with vision disorders who reside in the City of Glendora. The visually impaired members meet on a regular basis so that they can be informed about medical and social issues related to their visual problems, made aware of available resources and enjoy interactions with others with visual challenges. Glendora Reads! - Community Adult Literacy
The main goal of Glendora Reads! is to provide adult literacy services including tutoring to 25 new adults over 16 years of age each year, especially low income adults and at risk older teens. They also sponsor outreach programs for adults who are homebound or disabled in health care-retirement facilities. The Glendora Library is located at 140 S. Glendora Ave. in Glendora. Glendora Welfare Association
The Glendora Welfare Association intervenes with assistance in cases of financial emergency. They provide food vouchers, motel vouchers, gasoline vouchers, bus tokens, rental assistance and utility payments for a short term use. Contact name: Sue Schmidt Phone: (626) 857-1181

YWCA - WINGS
The primary goal of this citywide domestic violence program is to provide battered women and their children up to age 18 with emergency shelter and prevention and intervention services. The YWCA is located in West Covina. Contact Person: Lisa Brabo at (626) 960-2995

YWCA - Meals on Wheels Program
The program will provide two nutritious meals Monday through Friday to Glendora residents who are homebound in Glendora. The participants receiving the meals are low and very low-income residents of Glendora. An average of forty-two Glendora residents participate in this citywide program on a daily basis.
