As the Mayor of Glendora please allow me to welcome and thank you for visiting our City’s official website. As Mayor I am very proud of our community because it is a place where everyone is treated like family. Glendora is the closest thing to a slice of Americana as you can get--it is a picture from the Norman Rockwell portfolio. I feel I can say with certainty that after you visit our beautiful city you too will agree that it is a place people dream of visiting and of ultimately living in.
We are a proud community that can trace its heritage and purpose for over 100 years. Glendora has evolved from a small agricultural town to a thriving city of over 55,000 residents who are focused on maintaining its small town values and charm. This charm is one of the attributes that attracts people from all walks of life. People choose to live in Glendora primarily because we are a city of strong family values, good educational opportunities, a safe environment, a high quality of life, and the beautiful pristine foothills around us.
Historic Route 66 runs through the heart of Glendora. The City is building on its classic history, which has rekindled a spark in the community to focus on a more nostalgic time. We offer a wide variety of homes – from historic cottages to grand estates. Our diversified business community ranges from corporate headquarters of major U.S. and International firms to a modern market place with national named businesses to a charming downtown village.
Well known as the “Pride of the Foothills,” Glendora is an extraordinary community that is well balanced between residential and business opportunities. We maintain high standards in housing, offer beautiful parks for our citizens, are very proud of our Senior and Teen Center, and have our own library facility. These attributes, along with a very low crime rate, have made the City of Glendora among the best communities in America in which to live.
Thank you for visiting the City of Glendora. We hope you will come back and visit us again soon.
Glendora is truly a better place to Live, Work and Play.
