Joseph A. Santoro
Mayor
Welcome to the City of Glendora's website. Thanks for visiting a City that is known as
"Pride of the Foothills"
As Mayor, and on behalf of the City of Glendora, whether you are a resident, business owner, or visitor, I welcome you. The unique, small town experience, cretaed and maintained in Glendora has shaped a sense of community that is second to none. While we strive to preserve our historical heritage, Glendora is a place that embraces new ideas while providing a safe, friendly and relaxing atmosphere where individuals can live, work, play and raise a family.
We are a proud community that can trace its heritage and purpose for over 100 years. Glendora has evolved from a small agricultural town to a thriving city of over 50,000 residents who are focused on maintaining its small town values and charm. Our collective goal is to set the vision for the future of our community that meets the needs of our citizens and business partners.
The beauty of our foothills and mountain range is enough to take one's breath away. However, we strive to augment our natural resources and improve our community experience through strong family values, excellent educational opportunities, a safe environment, and our collective diversity where so many individuals come together toward common goals that address community excellence.
Historic Route 66 runs through the heart of Glendora. The City is continually building on its classic history, which has rekindled a spark in the community to focus on a more nostalgic time. We offer a wide variety of homes – from historic cottages to grand estates. Our diversified business community ranges from corporate headquarters of major U.S. and International firms to a modern market place with nationally-named businesses to a charming downtown historical village.
Well known as the “Pride of the Foothills,” Glendora is an extraordinary community that is well balanced between residential and business opportunities. We maintain high standards in housing, offer beautiful parks, wilderness areas, senior and teen centers, and have our own library facility. These attributes, along with a very low crime rate, have made the City of Glendora among the best and most friendly communities in America in which to establish your home and/or business.
No matter what brings you to our beautiful city we hope you will have the benefit of enjoying all that our community and the surrounding areas has to offer.
Thank you for visiting our website. We hope you will come back and visit us again soon.
