About Community Services
The Community Services Department manages all of the recreation, human services, parks and green space, street tree and median maintenance, and transportation services offered by the City of Glendora.
Community Services also provides social, recreational, and cultural opportunities, which stimulate and enhance the quality of life for Glendora residents by offering interesting programs and social services that ensure a variety of leisure opportunities accessible to all citizens.
The Community Services Department is responsible for the administration of the following programs and services:
- Community-wide special events
- Community relations and social services
- Recreation classes and aquatic programs
- Athletic programs and field allocation
- Senior citizen activities and programs
- Park beautification and maintenance
- Development of the City's Community Services Guide, which is published three times a year and distributed to the residents of Glendora. It lists programs, services and events.
- Glendora's Mini-Bus operation is supervised by the department through the Transportation Division.
