Gene Murabito has been a resident of Glendora since 1956. He received his B.S. degree in Organizational Management and his MBA from the University of La Verne.

He serves as a Director for the Foundation for Glendora Unified Schools, is a Financial Advisor to the Glendora Chamber of Commerce, is the past president and current Director for the Glendora Kiwanis Club, and was a Planning Commissioner for seven years. Gene is also appointed to various boards and committees, making decisions which affect not only the City of Glendora, but surrounding communities. He represents the City on the Foothill Transit Zone Executive Board which coordinates planning for the contracting and operation of public transit; the Gold Line Joint Powers Authority whose focus is to participate in the planning, funding, designing and construction of the Gold Line Phase II; Independent Cities Association which  educate, advocate, and provide information on issues of common concern; League of California Cities which maintains a central information office for matters pertaining to government as well as influencing legislation affecting our cities; and the San Gabriel Valley Council of Governments which provides regional and cooperative planning and consideration of government services.

Gene and his wife, Maura, have two daughters, Kate and Christy.
