Ken Herman has been on the City Council for eight years, and is currently serving his second term as Mayor. As a City Council Member he also served on many boards, including the Planning Commission. He is actively involved as a delegate for the City on various committees and boards serving the community. He is on the Glendora Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors; the County Sanitation District; the LA Works Board of Directors, which coordinates efforts of cities to implement human services programs; the Three Valleys Municipal Water District and the San Gabriel Valley Protective Association--both of these agencies work with local, state and federal agencies to enhance the water supplies and use of water in the San Gabriel Valley; and the Village Merchants Association whose mission is to unify merchants in the Village as one voice for the purpose of growth and economic development of businesses affecting the community. He is President Elect of Glendora Kiwanis, and a member of the Masonic Lodge of Glendora, and Glendora Rotary.
Ken is a native of So. California and attended UCLA and Cal State Northridge. Ken was managing director of Bank of America Global Capital Markets for over thirty years. He and his wife, Joanne, have resided in Glendora for over fifteen years; have two lovely daughters and two grandchildren.
