Transit Options Workshops
Join the Transportation Division for a fun day of guided travel! At these workshops, participants will receive a Transit 101 presentation to start and will then be taken on a guided day of travel on public transportation. The group will break for approximately 2 hours of free time on your own and will then reconvene to head back to Glendora together!
Registration is required for each workshop and can be completed through our Registration Portal or in person at the City Hall Community Services Office or the Transportation Center. Please stay tuned for future workshop dates!
December 2017 - Train to Universal City Walk
This workshop will teach you the basics of utilizing public transit systems such as Foothill Transit, Metro, Metrolink and Glendora Mini-Bus Services. The workshop will consist of a Transit 101 presentation to start which will be followed by a guided day of travel on the Gold and Red Line trains to Universal City Walk. You will have a few hours to have a late lunch/early dinner and explore some of the shops. City Walk will also be decorated for the holidays so make sure to check out the giant Christmas Tree! Light snacks and water will be provided, however please eat before the workshop as we will not be arriving to our destination until 3:00pm.
Location: Glendora City Hall Council Chambers - 116 E. Foothill Blvd.
Workshop Only = $5.00 Workshop + TAP Card and Fare = $10.00
This is a VERY ACTIVE trip that will require a lot of walking. Workshop is limited to 20 people. A waiting list will be available.
